Viewers who have been following recent Inverterate Alert postings will know that, because of some computer problems, for the moment we’ll not be posting photographs, but we’ll continue to post text.  I don’t know at present when or if we’ll be able to resume posting photographs.

Jeff Gaskin writes:  Kirsten Mills and I saw a Lorquin’s Admiral by King’s Pond on August 13.  Kirsten Mills tells me she also saw 4 Lorquin’s Admirals in Uplands Park on August 12, and a very late Western Tiger Swallowtail on August 11, at Royal Roads University.

Jeremy Tatum writes:  Please continue to reports sightings of these species, so that we are able to record the dates of the last sightings.  I visited Blenkinsop Lake and Rithet’s Bog today without seeing a single butterfly.  Is this year’s  butterfly season drawing to a close?
