{"id":9977,"date":"2020-02-13T16:30:55","date_gmt":"2020-02-14T00:30:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=9977"},"modified":"2020-02-15T10:08:05","modified_gmt":"2020-02-15T18:08:05","slug":"february-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=9977","title":{"rendered":"February 13"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>2020 February 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Jochen\u00a0 M\u00f6hr writes from Metchosin:\u00a0 After a hiatus from January \u00a06 to yesterday, February 12, finally some moths at the light.\u00a0\u00a0There were actually five individuals.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0 Jochen originally suggested that these are <em><strong>Eupithecia olivacea, <\/strong><\/em>but, writes Jeremy Tatum, I wrote that they were probably <em>E. annulata.\u00a0 <\/em>However, these two species are more similar than I had realized, and, based on their early appearance, Jochen&#8217;s original identification is more likely to be right.\u00a0 Literature suggests that <em>olivacea <\/em>appears from early March, but <em>annulata<\/em> usually waits until April.\u00a0 Apologies to Jochen!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"width: 624px;
