{"id":9882,"date":"2019-12-17T15:31:12","date_gmt":"2019-12-17T23:31:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=9882"},"modified":"2019-12-17T15:36:18","modified_gmt":"2019-12-17T23:36:18","slug":"december-17-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=9882","title":{"rendered":"December 17"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>2019 December<\/strong><strong>&nbsp; <\/strong><strong>17<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp; <\/strong>&nbsp;Jeremy Tatum writes from his Saanich apartment:&nbsp; There&#8217;s not much to photograph here in these dull days other than a few  <strong>firebrats.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp; <\/strong>The first one below is the &#8220;usual&#8221; one,  <strong><em>Thermobia domestica<\/em><\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp; <\/strong>  I think its epiproct (the middle of the three caudal appendages) must be damaged&nbsp; &#8211; it is usally much longer than that.
