{"id":6645,"date":"2018-07-16T16:38:37","date_gmt":"2018-07-16T23:38:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=6645"},"modified":"2018-10-04T15:48:05","modified_gmt":"2018-10-04T22:48:05","slug":"july-6-evening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=6645","title":{"rendered":"July 16 evening"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>July 16 evening<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>This morning\u2019s crop of Jochen M\u00f6hr\u2019s moths were relatively easy to identify.\u00a0 Now we come to the more difficult ones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em>Triphosa haesitata\/Coryphista meadii<\/em> is a notoriously difficult pair.\u00a0 The latter has several different forms, the most common of which can be terribly hard to distinguish from <em>haesitata<\/em>.\u00a0 On the outer margin of the hindwing of Jochen\u2019s moth below, the fourth tooth is much smaller than the adjacent teeth.\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2019s probably good enough to label it safely as <strong><em>Coryphista meadii<\/em><\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"width: 624px;
