<\/strong>Val George writes:&nbsp; Yesterday afternoon, June 23, there were many dragonflies frequenting the water edges at Swan Lake.&nbsp; As well as the usual darners, there were several dozen  <strong>Blue Dashers<\/strong> <strong><em>Pachydiplax&nbsp;longipennis<\/em><\/strong><strong>,  <\/strong>at least a dozen <strong>Cardinal Meadowhawks <\/strong><strong><em>Sympetrum<\/em><\/strong><strong>  <\/strong><strong><em>illotum<\/em><\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> two <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>8-spotted Skimmers <\/strong>  <strong><em>Libellula forensis<\/em><\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> and several <strong>  Pacific Forktails <\/strong><strong><em>Ischnura cervula<\/em><\/strong><strong>.<\/strong>&nbsp;A few photos are attached.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" style=\"width: 591px; Jeremy Tatum<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">&nbsp;&nbsp; Jeremy Tatum&nbsp; writes:&nbsp;&nbsp; Bill Savale and I went to the railway line north of Cowichan Station today, and we saw several  <strong>Margined Whites.<\/strong><strong>&nbsp; <\/strong>Some had a small grey spot in the middle of the forewing upperside.&nbsp; I believe these are females.
