{"id":5649,"date":"2018-03-19T16:17:13","date_gmt":"2018-03-19T23:17:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=5649"},"modified":"2018-03-19T16:21:49","modified_gmt":"2018-03-19T23:21:49","slug":"march-19-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=5649","title":{"rendered":"March 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>2018 March 19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong>Butterflies are starting to appear.&nbsp; Unidentified nymphalid butterflies were reported to this site on March 10 and 12 (see entries for March 11 and 13).&nbsp; The first identified butterfly reported is a  <strong>Mourning Cloak, <\/strong>by Libby Avis in Port Alberni on March 18.&nbsp; The Mourning Cloak and the unidentified nymphalids overwinter in the adult stage.
