a genus which has been providing us with identification problems.\u00a0 In order of increasing preference, Jeremy Tatum writes, I would identify Jochen\u2019s moth below as one of <em>D. foeminaria, D. secundaria, D. monicaria<\/em>. \u00a0Actually I\u2019m sufficiently sure that it is <strong><em>Drepanulatrix monicaria<\/em><\/strong> that that\u2019s how I\u2019m going to label it,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"file:\/\/\/F:\/DOCUME%7E1\/tatum\/LOCALS%7E1\/Temp\/msohtml1\/01\/clip_image006.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Joch monicaria.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Joch-monicaria.jpg\" width=\"596\" height=\"391.37333333333333\" name=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Drepanulatrix monicaria <\/em>(Lep.: Geometridae)\u00a0 Jochen Moehr<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At least seven butterfly-ers visited McIntyre reservoir today, and saw several <strong>Cabbage Whites, <\/strong>three <strong>Orange Sulphurs<\/strong> (at the north end of the reservoir), a <strong>Painted Lady <\/strong>(on the west side), and many <strong><em>Autographa californica<\/em><\/strong><strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Kirsten Mills saw a <strong>Painted Lady <\/strong>at Prospect Lake Golf Course, and another one at the corner or Tillicum Road and Gorge Road.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2017 October 15 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Another splendid crop of moths that Jochen Moehr is seeing at his home in Metchosin. &nbsp;
