{"id":4923,"date":"2017-08-31T15:04:33","date_gmt":"2017-08-31T22:04:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=4923"},"modified":"2017-08-31T15:09:44","modified_gmt":"2017-08-31T22:09:44","slug":"august-31","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=4923","title":{"rendered":"August 31"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>2017 August 31<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Jeremy Tatum writes: &nbsp;&nbsp;Today I had another look at that Red Oak in Bow Park where I found those two large batches of  <strong><em>Noctua pronuba<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>eggs yesterday, and within seconds I found another two huge batches.&nbsp; No wonder this introduced European moth species has become so common!<\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Here are photographs of three moths by Jochen Moehr from Metchosin.&nbsp; Thanks to Libby Avis for identifying the first two. &nbsp;The third is another specimen (or perhaps even the same individual) of the one shown on August 27.
