567px) 100vw, 567px\" \/><\/strong>Fungus Gnat (Dip.: Mycetophilidae)\u00a0 Ian Cooper<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Those brown things on the underside of the fern leaf are known technically, I believe (writes Jeremy Tatum) as sori.\u00a0 Just as we can identify the fly from the patterns of the venation on the wings of the fly, and the tarsal spines, so, in like mien, any botanists watching this will doubtless be able to identify the fern\u00a0 from the sori.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><img loading=\"lazy\"
