2016 May 12 morning<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Jeremy Tatum writes:\u00a0 I made a bad mistake in mis-labelling a butterfly in yesterday\u2019s (May 11) posting.\u00a0 My fault – not the photographer\u2019s – and I have corrected the label.\u00a0 Devon Parker\u2019s photograph was not of a Cedar Hairstreak, but a Johnson\u2019s Hairstreak<\/strong>. \u00a0Devon knew what he had, but caution deterred him from saying so out loud.\u00a0 The identification was confirmed by Cris Guppy, James Miskelly and Jeremy Gatten – and of course I now concur. That, and Devon\u2019s discovery of the egg of the Two-banded Grizzled Skipper on Rubus<\/em>, are two sensational butterfly discoveries by Devon on the same day!\u00a0 Devon took a second photograph of the Johnson\u2019s Hairstreak, which I didn\u2019t post yesterday, but I do so now:<\/p>\n
