Val George sends a picture of a Green Comma<\/strong> from Gordon and Anne-Marie Hart\u2019s Highlands house during the May 1 butterfly walk.\u00a0 He writes that it shows the identifying features on both the dorsal and ventral sides.<\/p>\n

He also sends the top of a lupine flower seen at the Colwood turnoff during the butterfly walk.\u00a0 The sharp-eyed will see on it two eggs of the Silvery Blue<\/strong> butterfly.<\/p>\n

Aziza Cooper sends some photographs of commas <\/strong>from Mount Cokely and from Taylor Road.\u00a0 Commas are difficult but I believe these are Green Commas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jody Wells photographed a tiger beetle <\/strong>at Cordova Spit.\u00a0 These beetles run around so rapidly that Jody did well to get a photograph.\u00a0Thanks to Claudia Copley for identifying it as Cicindela tranquebarica<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n
