\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>The grasshopper below was photographed at Island View Beach during Sunday\u2019s (August 4) VNHS Butterfly Walk.\u00a0 James Miskelly writes:\u00a0 \u201cThis is Trimerotropis pallidipennis<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 On the coast it’s highly associated with sand and it’s a common species at Island View.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"Trimerotropis pallidipennis<\/em>\u00a0 (Orth.: Acrididae)\u00a0\u00a0 Aziza Cooper<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 The moth below was photographed by the Galloping Goose Trail in View Royal on August 4.\u00a0 Libby Avis writes that it is Parabagrotis insularis<\/em><\/strong>, a very variable species.<\/p>\n

\n11 <\/strong>skippers – I believe most were Woodland Skippers
\n2 Lorquin\u2019s Admirals<\/strong><\/p>\n

6 Cardinal Meadowhawks
\n2 Paddle-tailed Darners
\n3 Striped Meadowhawks
\n2 Blue Dashers
\n1 Blue-eyed Darner\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
