{"id":2278,"date":"2016-04-28T18:20:35","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T02:20:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=2278"},"modified":"2016-04-30T09:05:35","modified_gmt":"2016-04-30T16:05:35","slug":"april-28-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=2278","title":{"rendered":"April 28"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>2016 April 28<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>MAY BUTTERFLY WALK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hi, Butterfly watchers,<\/p>\n<p>The second butterfly walk of 2016 is this <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <strong>Sunday, May 1<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>.<\/strong><\/span> The weather looks as though it will be fine, so we should have a good showing of butterflies.<\/p>\n<p>We meet at the <strong>top of <\/strong><strong>Mount<\/strong> <strong>Tolmie<\/strong> in the parking lot by the reservoir at <strong>1 p.m.<\/strong> After a quick look around the summit, we will decide on a destination at that time.<\/p>\n<p>As always, the walk is weather-dependent, so if the weather forecast is wrong and it is cold or rainy, the walk will be cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks also to everyone who participated in April\u2019s butterfly count. I saw about a dozen <strong>Western Spring Azures<\/strong>, a <strong>Sara Orangetip<\/strong>, and at least three <strong>Propertius Duskywings<\/strong>. Two were by the mud near the pond, and one or two near the gate.
