{"id":21951,"date":"2024-06-15T19:50:45","date_gmt":"2024-06-16T02:50:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=21951"},"modified":"2024-06-22T19:22:49","modified_gmt":"2024-06-23T02:22:49","slug":"2024-june-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=21951","title":{"rendered":"2024 June 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2024 June 15<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On June 14, Marie O\u2019Shaughnessy reported that, because of cool weather, butterflies and dragonflies were scarce.\u00a0 Thus, at McIntyre reservoir she found only two <strong>Cabbage Whites, <\/strong>one <strong>Cardinal Meadowhawk,<\/strong> one <strong>California Darner<\/strong>, plus 11 damselflies.\u00a0 She saw a <strong>Western Tiger Swallowtail <\/strong>along Bowker Creek.\u00a0 June 15 has been cool and windy; in spite of that, Gordon Hart saw a <strong>Pale Tiger Swallowtail<\/strong> in the Highlands today.<\/p>\n<p>Gordon photographed this bright green grasshopper at Uplands Park, June 13.\u00a0 James Miskelly writes:\u00a0 That&#8217;s a nymph of <strong><em>Melanoplus bivittatus<\/em><\/strong>.
