\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Jeremy Tatum reports two Painted Ladies<\/strong> on the top of Mount Douglas, and one Western Tiger Swallowtail <\/strong>on the top of Mount Tolmie this afternoon.\u00a0 He writes that he is still not seeing a lot of butterflies.\u00a0 \u201cI have still not yet seen a comma this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

More middle-of-the-night invertebrates from Ian Cooper.\u00a0 Dr Bennett writes of the spider in the first photograph below:\u00a0 That’s a male philodromid crab spider. Probably Philodromus rufus<\/em> but I will be conservative and stick with Philodromus<\/em> sp.<\/p>\n

Ian writes of the next one:\u00a0 Unidentified spider who resides in a hole in the bark of a conifer by the GG trail\u00a0(possibly Cybaeus <\/em>sp. <\/em>(Ara.: Cybaeidae), <\/em>or Callobius <\/em>sp.\u00a0(Ara.: Amaurobiidae) with a captured Theridiidae sp. (cobweb weaver).<\/p>\n
