At Gore Park, there were at 1.10pm
\n5 Western Spring Azures
\n1 Cabbage White\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

At Mount Tolmie at 5.30pm,
\n1 California Tortoiseshell,<\/strong> a brief put down on the reservoir and then disappeared
\nA Painted Lady<\/strong> that settled briefly on my sleeve and was then \u00a0gone.
\n1 Western Spring Azure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There was one dragonfly<\/strong>, hanging \u00a0off a cone high up in a fir tree near the Jeffrey Pine at the summit of Mt. Tolmie. It was basking in the late afternoon sun.<\/p>\n

May 2, there was a dragonfly<\/strong> and a California Tortoiseshell<\/strong> at the reservoir on Mount Tolmie at about 6 pm.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Tatum writes:\u00a0 Although there have been a few reports of Pacific Forktail damselflies this year, this is the first report we have received of a true dragonfly (Suborder Anisoptera). \u00a0\u00a0It looks as if Marie and Aziza have found the same individual!<\/p>\n
