2023 October 15<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Although this has been a good year for West Coast Lady, we haven\u2019t yet received any reports this year for American Lady.\u00a0 I say \u201cyet\u201d because there is still time.\u00a0 However, one turned up yesterday in the Scilly Islands, off the SW coast of England.<\/p>\n

Jochen M\u00f6hr found six different moth species at his Metchosin home this morning.\u00a0 We thank Libby Avis for her great help with the identifications.\u00a0\u00a0 The first one is a Tetracis pallulata <\/em>or T. jubararia<\/em>.\u00a0 Libby cautions us to be wary against too confident identification of these two species.\u00a0 For what it\u2019s worth, Jeremy Tatum thinks that, for the heavily speckled and fairly dark specimen below, pallulata <\/em>may be more likely than jubararia<\/em> \u2013 but this is by no means certain.<\/p>\n
