The unprepossessing English name is a literal translation of the Family name.<\/p>\n

Following suggestions by Cheryl Hoyle, we believe the insect below is probably the ichneumonid wasp Pimpla sanguinipes<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Pimpla <\/em>(probably sanguinipes<\/em>) (Hym.: Ichneumonidae)\u00a0 Ian Cooper<\/p>\n

We thank Dr Cara Gibson for identification of the Green Lacewing<\/strong> below.\u00a0 Cara identified it to species from the dark double-spot on the gena.\u00a0 In case you don\u2019t know what the gena is (it was a new word for me, Jeremy Tatum) it\u2019s where you see the double-spot.<\/p>\n
