{"id":19687,"date":"2023-08-09T20:56:22","date_gmt":"2023-08-10T03:56:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=19687"},"modified":"2023-08-10T07:10:24","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T14:10:24","slug":"2023-august-9-evening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=19687","title":{"rendered":"2023 August 9 evening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2023 August 9 evening<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Jochen M\u00f6hr reports that he spotted his first <strong>Pine White <\/strong>of the year in the Douglas Firs in Metchosin today.<\/p>\n<p>Kirsten Mills saw a <strong>Western Tiger Swallowtail<\/strong> while she was driving along Blanshard Street near the Saanich Municipal Hall this afternoon, August 9.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff Gaskin and Jeremy Tatum saw at least two <strong>Painted Ladies<\/strong> on the top of Mount Tolmie at about 5:15 pm this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy Tatum reports dozens of <strong>Woodland Skippers <\/strong>at Quick\u2019s Bottom this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Kirsten Mills writes:\u00a0 I was told about a spot to see the <strong>Swift Forktail<\/strong>. Jeff Gaskin and I went to the Duncan Sewage Lagoons yesterday, August 8, and we saw one female <strong>Swift Forktail<\/strong>.
