Whittington sends photographs, from Ladysmith on July 28, of a <strong>Lorquin\u2019s Admiral<\/strong> apparently \u201cnectaring\u201d on sapsucker drillings, and a <strong>Yellow-faced Bumble Whittington<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Also, we missed two photographs from Bruce in early June in Ladysmith, and we post them belatedly now.\u00a0 The first is an adult <strong>Sculptured Pine-borer Beetle<\/strong>.\u00a0 The second is a beetle larva which <em>may<\/em> be the same species, but we are not certain of this.\u00a0 Also, in that photograph the sharp-eyed will see another insect <\/strong>at Blenkinsop Lake in the last couple of days.\u00a0 These striking dragonflies are being seen at many locations just now.\u00a0 Marie tried her hand (pretty successfully, we\u2019d say!) at Moth <\/strong>in the Highlands on July 30.\u00a0 This moth likes the juices from friuts such as plums, and is reputed to be able to pierce the skins of fruits with its proboscis.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It spends the winter in the adult stage, and is one of the first moths to <u>herald<\/u> in the season of Spring.\u00a0 The caterpillar feeds on willows.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img Tolmie today, and at 5:00 pm there were no butterflies on or near the reservoir of any sort \u2013 nymphalids, swallowtails, whites, skippers.\u00a0 There were two <strong>Painted Ladies<\/strong>, a
