\u00a0 <\/strong>There was no Invert Alert for July 17.\u00a0 Today, I have so much that I probably shan\u2019t get them all in today.\u00a0 Some may have to wait until tomorrow.\u00a0 This is a very nice problem to have!<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Marie O\u2019Shaughnessy visited Parksville yesterday and saw and photographed butterflies and dragonflies and damselflies.
\nButterflies seen were:
\n3 Lorquin\u2019s Admirals
\n2 Western Tiger Swallowtails
\n5 Cabbage Whites
\n1 Grey Hairstreak
\n1 Mylitta Crescent
\n2 Woodland Skippers <\/strong><\/p>\n

Dragonflies and damselfies were:
\n3 Common Whitetail
\n2 Common Green Darner
\n1 Eight-spotted Skimmer
\n1 California Darner
\n<\/strong>many Tule Bluets
\n<\/strong>several Western <\/strong>and Pacific Forktails<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jeff Gaskin writes: Today, July 18, I found an Anise Swallowtail<\/strong> in the same vacant lot where the Yellow-breasted Chat was being seen – Wilkinson Road at Dunsterville Road.\u00a0 There are lots of Fennel plants growing there so that’s probably the reason why this swallowtail is there.<\/p>\n

Also, a Common Ringlet<\/strong> was at the disc playing fields in Layritz Park and another Mourning Cloak<\/strong> was in Copley Park.<\/p>\n
