Jeff Gaskin writes:\u00a0\u00a0 I had a half decent day butterfly walking on May 25.\u00a0 \u00a0First of all, I had a total of 14 Ringlets<\/strong>, 1 near Viaduct Flats, and the rest or 13 in Layritz Park.\u00a0\u00a0 I also saw my first Lorquin’s Admirals<\/strong> of the year.\u00a0 \u00a0Both were on the Colquitz River trail north of Roy Road and south of Lindsay sreet.\u00a0 One of the Lorquin’s Admirals<\/strong> was attacking a Mourning Cloak<\/strong> too.\u00a0 I saw only 4 Western Spring Azures<\/strong>.\u00a0 The rest of my butterflies were:\u00a0 \u00a014 Cabbage Whites,\u00a05 Pale Tiger Swallowtails, <\/strong>and 6 Western Tiger Swallowtails<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Marie O\u2019Shaughnessy photographed two damselflies <\/strong>at McIntyre reservoir yesterday.\u00a0 She also saw a Cardinal Meadowhawk<\/strong> and seven Cabbage Whites.<\/strong><\/p>\n
