{"id":16235,"date":"2022-08-18T09:07:44","date_gmt":"2022-08-18T16:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=16235"},"modified":"2022-08-18T09:17:44","modified_gmt":"2022-08-18T16:17:44","slug":"2022-august-18-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=16235","title":{"rendered":"2022 August 18 morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"postie-post\">\n<div>\n<p><strong>2022 August 18 morning<br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong>Aziza Cooper photographed this moth at Haynes Park, Oak Bay, on August 16.&nbsp; Unfortunately we have not&nbsp; been able to identify it with certainty, and it may have to remain unidentified.&nbsp; A &nbsp;good possibility suggested by Libby Avis is one of two species of <em>Mniotype<\/em>.&nbsp; These species are variable, and are devoid of very obvious features by which they can be readily identified.&nbsp; Aziza&rsquo;s moth, too, is devoid of very obvious features &ndash; but that is not quite enough!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/A-Moth-1b.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Possibly <em>Mniotype <\/em>sp.
