{"id":13130,"date":"2021-01-11T16:26:19","date_gmt":"2021-01-12T00:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=13130"},"modified":"2021-01-29T16:15:25","modified_gmt":"2021-01-30T00:15:25","slug":"january-11-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/?p=13130","title":{"rendered":"January 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>2021 January 11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here is a series of photographs of slugs and snails photographed by Ian Cooper in recent days (and nights!) either along the Galloping Goose Trail or in Colquitz River Park.\u00a0\u00a0 The identifications, by Ian, are tentative, but probably correct \u2013 though we&#8217;d welcome any alternative suggestions.\u00a0 The first is the <strong>Yellow-bordered Taildropper.\u00a0 <\/strong>In an earlier version of this posting I had labelled it as a Blue-grey Taildropper from the same genus, but, as Ian suspected and Jeremy Gatten confirmed, from the yellow border to the mantle and the larger size, it is actually the Yellow-bordered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"width: 613px;
