margin: 5px;\" src=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/Users\/jtatum\/AppData\/Local\/Temp\/msohtmlclip1\/01\/clip_image004.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"pastedImage.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vicnhs.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/pastedImage-40.png\" name=\"null\" \/><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Orgyia pseudotsugata <\/em>(Lep.: Erebidae \u2013 Lymantriinae)\u00a0 Jochen M\u00f6hr<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 And here&#8217;s a nice miscellany from Gordon Hart in the Highlands.\u00a0 The centre-stage insect is an <strong>antlion<\/strong>.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t know the exact species.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t think we can identify the noctuid moth, which is just a little out of the depth of focus.\u00a0 The small insect nearest the right hand edge of the photograph is, I think, a <strong>culicid<\/strong>, better known to most of us as a mosquito.\u00a0 Never thought we&#8217;d find out what the other small flies are, but Libby Avis identified them!\u00a0\u00a0 They are <strong>dark-winged fungus gnats<\/strong> (Dip.: Sciaridae).\u00a0\u00a0 We can even make out the wing venation on one of them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"width: 624px;
