\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Norma Smith sends photographs of two Pyrausta californicalis<\/em><\/strong> from her garden near St Michael’s University School.\u00a0 The caterpillars of this species feed on mints Mentha <\/em>sp.\u00a0 Norma tells me that her garden has a ground cover of Corsican Mint Mentha requienii<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 This huge corydalid<\/strong> was found by Rebecca Dunne on Hornby Island, July 28.\u00a0 Thanks to Dr Rob Cannings for confirming Rebecca’s identification as Dysmicohermes disjunctus.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
