1 Nadata gibbosa – <\/em><\/strong>still the same although in different location<\/p>\n

1 Tyria jacobaeae<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

2 Xanthorhoe defensaria<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Also, Jochen saw a Western Tiger Swallowtail <\/strong>in his garden, and an Anise Swallowtail <\/strong>on his way between Metchosin and Victoria.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Tatum writes:\u00a0 I am envious!\u00a0 It is June, and I still have not seen any swallowtail.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, he noted scores of Adela septentrionella<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 He took several photographs of these (of which one is reproduced below), and of a female Western Spring Azure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 Jeremy Tatum writes:\u00a0 Yes, I saw some there, too, as well as a Purplish Copper<\/strong> and a Red Admiral.<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

A few more Ringlets<\/strong> in Layritz Park, although the grass beat me back before I could attempt to count them.\u00a0 Also in the evening, still three rather worn but still active Painted Ladies<\/strong> on top of Mount Tolmie.<\/p>\n

Rosemary Jorna writes:\u00a0\u00a0 For the record\u00a0 I saw 2 Western Spring Azure<\/strong> butterflies near Kemp Lake this morning.\u00a0 \u00a0The good news is my sister’s garden in the Kemp Lake area has a number of swallowtails.\u00a0 I saw at least 2 Western Tiger Swallowtails<\/strong>\u00a0 and\u00a0 5 Pale Tiger Swallowtails.<\/strong><\/p>\n
