Preliminary (near final)results for the 2010 Victoria Christmas Bird Count

As of December 20, 2010

We had a pretty good day considering the conditions. No new species this year
(except Pacific Wren), probable record numbers of Turkey Vultures and Wood
Ducks. Weather prevented the boats from getting out, and waves prevented a lot
of seabirds from venturing close to shore.

Here is the preliminary species list from the Victoria (BCVI) Christmas Bird
Count (140 species) and a link to the unproofread area summary sheet. Feederwatch numbers still to be added!

I will post the numbers on the Victoria Natural History Society as soon as I
have sufficient for a preliminary post.
