Jochen Möhr reports from Metchosin this morning:

6 Eupithecias

2 Egira hiemalis

2 Hydriomena manzanita

1 Eupsilia tristigmata

1 Phigalia plumogeraria

Eupsilia tristigmata (Lep.: Noctuidae)  Jochen Möhr

Eupsilia tristigmata overwinters as an adult moth, and consequently can be seen either in late fall or early spring.  The caterpillar feeds on various plants (e.g. Rosa, Rubus, Geum, Salix)  –  and on other caterpillars!
